Dear Friends,

Spring is in full force here in west TN and that brings two more seasons with it: kitten season and flea/tick season. We will be presenting information on that and so much more at our first ever Dog and Cat Wellness Resource Fair. We are partnering with the Dyersburg Dyer County Humane Society to bring a wealth of information on pet wellness and care to our community on May 10th from 10am-4pm at the Dyer County Fairgrounds. Those of us in animal rescue saw the need for education on what is available (and not available) in our area as well as how to easily and properly care for your pet. We will have speakers, tables, handouts, door prizes, and food! All donations will go to help our two non-profits who do our best with what we have. Please join us and support our efforts. (Sorry, but please do not bring your pets. Our contract with the fair board will not allow pets in the building.)

We are also hosting our annual free vaccine clinics on May 3rd and May 31st at 945 Harris Rd in Dyersburg. Cats are welcome from 10am-12pm and dogs from 12-2pm. If you have both please come around noon. These vaccines provide all standard annuals except the rabies vaccine which must be administered by a licensed vet.

Did you know kittens are seasonal? Every spring we are flooded with kittens coming through our rescue. They are just being born now so if you’ve been looking to adopt a kitten, watch our two outlets (Pet Stop and Petsense, both in Dyersburg) for kittens in the next couple of months. All kittens that will eventually be there will be fully vetted and spayed or neutered.

We have so many wonderful cats and dogs available for adoption and every one of them deserves a loving home. You can see our available dogs on Petfinder (along with a few of our special cats) or you can visit Pet Stop and Petsense to see available cats. We love every one of them!

A special shout out to all our volunteers who do incredible jobs in so many areas! We have an amazing team of people who give freely of their spare time to help our homeless animal population. Check out their appreciation video below!
